CAMERA - A Digital SLR camera or a good quality compact if you prefer. We are not against argentic film but it is getting difficult to process and for trekking, digital equipment is a lot lighter to carry and not as fragile. A protective small camera bag, if possible strapped to your waist, is a must.​

LENSES – It is nice to have different lenses but you will find that changing lenses often could lead to problems like dust entering your camera and cleaning your SLR sensor is not easy task. The best would be a versatile good quality zoom-lens like 28-80 or 28-100 depending on your camera brand. Also consider the weight of your equipment, remember that, unless you want to pay for your own porter, you will have to carry your backpack and photographic equipment up and down the trails…​

DIGITAL MEMORY – At least one extra 4 GB or higher memory card is recommended. It might be difficult to download your images along the way (unless you want to carry a laptop) so take enough memory with you.​

YOUR CAMERA BATTERY CHARGER - You’ll be sorry if you forget that one. Especially in cold weather, batteries are fast empty and need to be recharged often. You will find outlets in most places where we will spend the night but to carry an extra battery is also a good idea.​

TRIPOD – Tripod could be a little heavy to carry (we will have a porter for this kind of equipment) but it is a must for low light shots in late afternoon or HDR photography.​

FILTERS – With the strong mountain light, a circular polarizer filter is highly recommended.
